On April 7th, Shandong Province officially approved the establishment of Qingdao Harbour Vocational and Technical Institute and Belarusian State University International Port and Shipping Institute.
It’s affiliated to Qingdao Harbor Vocational and Technical College, jointly run by Qingdao Harbor Vocational and Technical College and Belarusian State University. It is a Sino-foreign cooperative educational project with a total size of 780 students and an annual enrollment of 260 students. The academic duration is three-year and is included in the national enrollment plan for ordinary colleges and universities. In terms of discipline setting, based on the needs of the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the port and shipping industry, the new Institute combines the disciplinary advantages and offers three specialized majors, namely electronic information engineering technology, software technology and modern logistics management, to provide targeted high-skilled professionals for the development of the industry and regional economy.
As a state-owned and public full-time higher vocational college supervised by the Department of Education of Shandong Province and sponsored by Shandong Port Group, QHVTC has made many attempts in the integration of production and education and international education in recent years. From hosting the international talent training class of Shandong Port Group, to leading the Italian teachers and students to visit the smart port, the college has accelerated its international exchanges this year. On the one hand, the cooperation with Belarusian State University will further enhance the international level of the college. On the other hand, it also provides new impetus for deepening Sino-foreign cooperative education ecology in the field of vocational education.
